The geography of my life
I was born in Italy, in a small town surrounded by the Southern Alps. It's truly a beautiful place – but growing up, I always craved a broader life.
Ten years ago I met my husband, who's Argentine. Together, we moved to the UK, to Australia, to Japan.
Then 2020 happened, and in 2021 we had a child. He was born in Tokyo under partial lockdown, but by the time he was eight months old, he had already traveled more than I've done in my first 25 years of life.
Mainly for him, we decided it was time, and left Japan.
Now we are staying in Buenos Aires, Argentina, planning to relocate to Italy for good by fall '22 – and while I'm taking a full circle back home, I'm drawing another semicolon and starting some new exciting projects in content design. At work, for the longest time I've been Italian market lead, and marketing & student coordinator. Before that, translator, editor, and teacher – and I could keep listing.
Still, there is always one clear goal at the core of my work: to simplify complex information and convey it effectively through words.
Someone once said that easy reading is damn hard writing, but when it comes to digital content, it's not just about writing.

It's researching and deeply understanding users' emotions, fears, needs, and how they communicate and navigate the user journey.

It's identifying and setting business goals and KPIs, knowing that a good communication strategy reduces unnecessary workload and improves conversion and retention.

It's coordinating and communicating with teams that might have contrasting perspectives and priorities or different regional cultures.

It's localizing and editing content that might be already there – written in another language and for another audience or overly technical, verbose, ineffective.

It's testing, gathering feedback, and improving, because it's not enough for (micro)copy just to be polished, sound clever, or funny – it needs to perform well.
